There is still 1/3 of the world with no access to the gospel. That’s around 2 billion people. A lot of people.
The remaining 2/3 may have access, but actually don’t often come into contact with the Good News of Jesus.
On average a person needs to hear the Gospel 3 times before they respond.
Most believers come to faith by the time they are 18.
Evangelism is just one beggar telling another beggar where to find bread.

Never has it been so feasible to dream of completing the Great Commission
According to research done by Ralph Winter, Founder of the US Center for Missions (now Frontier Ventures), the ratio of non-believers to believers has steadily declined over the centuries.
At the end of the first century there were 360 non-believers for every single follower of Jesus on earth.
By the end of the first millennia that number shrank to 220.
By the beginning of the Reformation there were 69 non-believers for every Christian.
As the last century began the number was down to 27.
By the beginning of this century we are looking at just 7 non-Christians on earth for every “Great Commission Christian”.

The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.
