The global crisis of human suffering and injustice is growing at an alarming speed.
Daily we receive reports from around the world of unspeakable human tragedies of suffering and with them comes the horrifying realization of how inadequate the current response of the world community is as to alleviate the suffering and correct the injustice.
This is where the "Global Compassion Network" receives its CALLING:
We believe it is the responsibility of the global Christian community not to complain about the inadequacies of the response of the world community, but to take seriously OUR OWN CALLING as Christians to obey God’s command for action:
“To loose the chains of injustice and to untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke. Is it not to share your food with the hungry and provide the poor wanderer with shelter, when you see the naked to clothe him and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?” (Isaiah 58:6-7 NIV)
We invite you to join our “COMPASSION/JUSTICE TRACK” at the call2all Congress in Chiang Mai, Thailand, May 21-24, 2013. Sessions of The Global Compassion track will bring awareness to some of the injustices around the world and to educate and equip us to move forward with a two-handed gospel and fully represent Christ in this world.
